This weekend Jhalak was, let us say full of drama with few Grins and few…NO! Lots of tears…sometimes the tears spilled with side splitting laughs …sometimes tears came and stood at the corners as we bid Adieu to our #Piedpiperofjhalak midway…really we did feel like telling “Tussi naa jao” to our very own Karan Johar but well show must go on and TV must be on at all times in the house on a weekend evening…and next we hear is the Diva…most gorgeous Malaika Arora stepping in his shoes and we lap up all the pictures doing the rounds in social Media...Bewafa audience we are…;)
As audience we do not anyway have much say as to who goes or comes…all we can do is Tweet our feelings and be done with it. Decide to change the channel or well simply enjoy the show as it unfolds and put up with all and everything that comes in….
We are tremendously happy to see Shahid back and this time Around he is sure and more vocal. He is mighty pleased with the gift he has got for Manish. Manish shall I say has toned down a bit…have you been reading my Blogs?? If so, let me tell you, you were cool these two days…some silly guffaws well…embedded in you…cannot avoid…but you are the essential flavour of Jhalak.
So ,we have the announcements of double elimination and we wonder, if so many contestants are dropped …what will remain of Jhalak anyways…the question goes “Hey exactly what are you upto?”
Raftaar and Scarlett and Viviannnnn…the first two names do not surprise me but the third name surprises and fills me with wicked amusement. We will give in to the wickedness a little later...
Ok!!!! I admit that I entered into viewing Jhalak for a different Fandom but as I began observing and writing about various personas, my fondness grew for the contestants. Stars however big or small tend to develop an elusive attitude as in “we are way too high to respond to Fans”. Raftaar and Sneha surprised me Tons…When I tweeted them with my Blogs and general congratulatory tweets they were so quick and prompt to respond not only with a retweet but also a Thank you message for all that I have been writing…which was not always nice and good. Not only me they have been sweet and cordial to all their Fans…This simplicity won my heart and I send tons of good wishes and blessings...I am elder to them so I can…and maybe because they are so good…it was nice to pair them up with the “Jaan ke liye dance” with who ever…
For I really do not believe this voting system at all…do spare some time to show us the statistics…I guess ,None exist for there are none…It is simply a decision taken at the script table by Important people and voting emphasis is simply exaggerated to fill the coffers of a telecom industry and internet vendors…
Scarlet is another girl who came in and won my heart with her sincere and passionate performance. She did declare she was at peace after her last performance. I agree it was one of her best performance.It was something she wanted to tell her Mom and she said it so eloquently and with flourish that she must have reached the zenith of satisfaction.It almost would feel to her that says “I have done what I meant to and for a while If I do not do anything else…I have EXPRESSED…my heart to my most precious person”.
She also surprised me with actually seeking me out on a fanclub and actually letting me know she liked what I wrote for her. Few would get down to actually doing that. Scarlet I too felt immensely at peace for I wanted you to know how much your performance had touched my heart…Love you loads Gurlie and do tell your Mum she is indeed very lucky!!!
Hmm coming to wicked pleasures…Raftaar said it in one line “If there is no choreographer I am willing to take on Vivian right away on the floor” Hmm…that is ditto How I felt…all the hard work..striking poses…were the department of Vivian’s choreopartner. He simply supported her lifts…this is not a statement on him as a person…only his dancing abilities.
Sometimes we must accept that we are not born with some abilities and may not be able to acquire them…and I did go through A Harrowing time for simply speaking my truth…His Fan world is on a rampage ever since they heard he was eliminated and have been issuing dire threats to the Channel itself…I was also at the receiving end of their Ire and well…now that he stands eliminated…and I sit amused watching the twitter grow colourful with various accusations and hashtags and of course being called “Paid Blogger for certain Stars” If reality be only known….
Once again it proves my theory …voting is shammm…he has tons of vociferous Fans who would surely Vote overnight for him and yettttt…must I say more??? Maybe Jhalak can consider showing what we call "Voting Statistics" and make the whole process transparent and clear. Just consider it and you might be able to quell the furore each fanclub cooks up when their fav is shown the door. Just at the time of blogging a controversy is doing the rounds that Shamita Shetty is receiving special favours as she happens to be from a rich and influential Family background. There is also accusation that she does not give “ one take “ Act during Jhalak shoots. Well, we have no concrete proof in this world of technology where a simple video can do the trick!!! All someone had to do it is shoot the process of partiality and put it in front of people …
But we accept the world is a little black with little white …and still enjoy the show and the humanness as it cannot be hidden however scripted…
Shamita Shetty did a Blindfold Act and it was Nice till it lasted.
They looked cool and dreamy…however there were a few oops moments and well; thanda moments but all in all we enjoyed the Colour combination and the Ambience but it did not leave a lasting impact on me…She is improving and getting confident and gliding and sliding well but…her flaw does not lie in her floor work or hard work but her out of Studio persona…giving you a little gyaan ...See...if it resonates..
Every tele or film star aspirant is like a King or Queen and the fan base she or he collects are her subjects…they do their utmost to get themselves recognised..in yonder past they wrote letters …now they have avenues…so they post for you..tweet for you ..vote for you..make edits for you…all they want is little recognition…You did not really go all out there to promote yourself as a brand name so you were an easy target for mud slinging…and no fan base came up to tweet for you or support you…
I did …for the simple reason that I am a Woman and do not appreciate claims that are unfounded and allegations that are unproven…So I simply asked to furnish concrete proofs and I do have lovely friends who understood and supported and managed to divert the Line of inquiry with Logical queries for proof...Our Reward ...We were categorised as "Paid baboons"I wanna know who pays me n How much ...sure can do with Extra money...!!! I earn well from my Non writing endeavours but to be paid for...#Blogging...Stupendous it would be...
If you truly aspire keep your Praja happy by sharing a bit part of your life in the form of an update..like on insta…tweet and retweet…Balance in front of camera and out of camera work…too
In all this gyaan I forgot the tornado called Bharti Singh who visited Jhalak and her missiles squashed everyone…her foursome judges rocked…with her you have to forget all logic and resolve to simply laugh and I did…First time I saw Shahid bellowing with laughter. The Hilarious Take on Manish Paul wanting to lick the dog and hence left away had even Manish crackling up. No one can sit with a straight face and pretend to be gloomy…You just cannot when Bharti is around…I loved her take again on MANISH not romancing as he Lacked a tele prompter…that was carrying Anchoring a little too deep …tight pants hilarity was also too much to digest …you literally have to be very sharp to catch her jiffs or well…you are dumb If you do not…I enjoy this Laughter queen as she is so aptly called…
We had Mohit Malik putting in a strong and sweltering Act which naturally deserved an immunity Ball.
It was a sheer reflection of hard work and discipline . He did have the Height and stature to play the adventurous Reckless and Focused Matador…and his lifts were breathtaking. He danced to perfection,Reflected a Controlled Aggression and Radiated Victory!!!!The Mr Gentle consistent Guy is actually slaying his own fears and moving further and up and ahead…unnoticed in the beginning ..like Bharti says pehle Famous to ho jao…he is getting there…gathering a loving Fan following and here I pray you never get a NO WORK phase ever in your life…you keep getting opportunities to better yourself and may you always remain occupied…with love and work.
Then came a Face off..to introduce Raftaar …
they showed the Pictures of him being a dancer in one of the rows..truly..people struggle so much and for so long to reach where they have …and so he is Kind and loving and caring…so while all the other Celebs are silent and blissfully ignorant…Raftaar my #Classbuddy replies to Fan tweets and clears the Air surrounding Shamita Shetty…with … "no one can take Multiple Shots”…Raftaar! I respect you tons for this…Did Shamita ask you to do this?? No! but you simply go ahead and do what is right…loads of respect…and as usual I enjoyed your tamanche pe disco…highly energetic and bubbly it was…You are getting so much better and you are so much fun that I feel you should have stayed till finals…but as of now I do know next week I shall see the last of you in Jhalak…You are one contestant I will feel very sorry to bid Adieu..and I will now follow all your activities and follow up with loving attention and blessings wherever you go…
Your Lilliput partner too is such a sweetheart …she will too rock wherever she goes for her smile has the “ never say die spirit”…she will go on and succeed..wishing you also tons of happiness…Sneha…I love you Both..though when the show began I had no idea who the two of you were and yet I wanna know you two and do MASTI…only if wishes were horses, we would ride on themmmm…when I see you Raftaar the lack of a brother sorely stirs in my heart …I thought I had trained myself to overlook this one thing God never gave me…a Mastikhor..Protective Bro…when I see you…I miss…neva mind…
Then Came Vivian with his Rajniikant makeover…
Bharti did put him right that he fails to conjure up too many expressions…wonder why no fan arm twisted Bharti for nailing the bitter fact…Vivian FANS MAYBE He is your God but well….because of you guys I feel I do not wish to know him at all…and None of the channel dare take him for any upcoming project…for you will resort to all kinda nonsense to express your anger should anything Go astray…But Still truth be told…he was ok…he did put in some funky moves but was unable to gather in many quick paced moves and again mostly choreopartner did most of the work and well that is that…Raftaar was chosen to stay and Vivian had to say goodbye…just proves the channel guys have something up their sleeve purposely to contrive a controversy or well to simply accept he cannot pull through anymore as a Dancer…
But we wish you Good Luck, may you find a suitable role and once again your fans get to see you everyday…Loads of luck…

Day Two began with a spoof on their own elimination sequence and judges were in the line of evaluation. Karan is a true blue entertainer going tongue tied and outlining how he has been a consistent Judge …regular…speaks Hindi…entertains…we were already in a giggle and chuckle with all their antiques of Ganesh Dancing his Happy Safe Dance..wish contestants can be that Candid…SO SHAHID was to have a Dance face off with Karan..wish Shahid would treat us to more such dances..He is so amazing and adroit on his feet…his Gandi baat was so affectionate. For all the rumours of Shahid giving people cold shoulder, he had a warm gaze and smile and we all knew he was performing as a tribute to our Lovely Judge..indeed an "I love you ! wala Send off….
But what Karan threw up was a partyyyyyy…..with his “Naino main sapna..sapnon main sajna…sajna pe dil aa gaya” …Yaar humaara dil Karan pe AA gaya…he threw caution to Winds and well enjoyed himself..the whole house was in an uproar…so much so infectious his dance was that all and every participant got up to Join him…but he whirled non stop …this was his moment indeed…He is a Show man…entertainer…no wonder I call him #PiedPiperofJhalak…see every single one got up to join him…that is the power of a Humble being and a person who enjoys himself and values self…your Daflee wale and Naino Main Sapna is a gift to us..and we shall ever view it when we are melancholic and down…It was his stage alright and we loved it..
Party continued with Sanaya romping with a teensy weensy lovely Wedding Do…
she was all smiles and swift and maybe we could add in a little Jig however it did look alittle crowded and she was a little lost amongst so many people…Choreographer was too carried away in giving prominence to everyone instead of giving her the priority…so she looked one among the dancers rather than the one Prominently Dancing…more like a bridesmaid she appeared than a Bride…That said Shahid too added his bit…n I AGREE that He was not surprised!! Good Shahid you are becoming Bold and Vocal about your Views and we like it…True there was nothing in the Act that we could retain in our memories or view it when a clip runs on my Instagram…for sure it does and we viewers enjoy all the before and after updates and are filled with anticipation for what to expect…Indian fans are super involved once they are involved…So Sanaya you look stunning…you have a dazzling smile but time to throw in a whoopy dappling razor sharp performance coupled with that magnetic illuminating dollop smile…
And then leave all complaints and time to laugh and roar again for Bharti strikes again…with her “ High court judge seat for Karan” taking the cake…to asking Shahid why he married to filling up Ganesh with red kisses…it was out and out Hilarity taking a jog walk on jhalak sets for us viewers … Her Ludicrous "Ek Radha..." was too much to Digest...Our Sunday made …she is Good at her Craft and I do look forward to her show…Comedy Nights BACHAO…am sure the Participants are In for some treatment….Good Luck Bharti for all the laughter doses you serve us…I actually saw Shahid shed his nervousness and laugh like no tomorrow while looking at Ganesh when he was wiping away the lipstick marks…the laugh a school boy gives when pulling a leg…thank you Bharti for letting us see this side of Shahid…he suddenly became so comfortable ..I guess it was because laughter No GIGGLING does Break the Ice…and Karan is so right your inner beauty is so cool…outer stuff now hardly matters…
But we do have a Beauty on the set of Jhalak who radiates brilliance both inside out and that is My #PrettyLassy amd #Mermaid from mystical shores…Scarlett Wilson…My dazzling mermaid unleashed a ravishing Belly Dance…she reigns and I cannot repeat that enough the moment she comes on the stage I am in a spell…I gaze and drink in her beauty and she is a delight to the eyes…A mesmerising Rhapsody…a grand ,gentle ,classic, timeless, Beauty…why has she been not discovered yet..???Filmdom..if you do offer her roles..she deserves to play immortal ones…she looked so surreal and ethereal in Her Ocean…GREEN ATTIRE…I did not really have the time to look at what others were doing…that is your Success Scarlet…
when You come on stage and My eyes Wander no where else…judges being judges…well they have the unfortunate task of giving judgements and finding things…I pity them..they cannot allow themselves like me to be lost and enjoy the Moment that is Scarlet Wilson on the Stage…Will I ever get to meet you and say all these things?? Not likely…so I pen it down and hope you read it and it suffuses you with a Glow and fill you with all the confidence to go ahead and claim success…She is so humble and takes time to let Karan Know what even I feel..that in these times when even minor success tends to give the newbies..hoity toity air..here is one successful …hugely Mover and shaker of the Industry …here is the Maven…whom all the important actors swear by…he mixes with all and sundry with the same happy go lucky attitude…he makes all who talk to him feel important…he is so approachable and allows Bharti or Manish to even send a Dig on him…and he will giggle rather than frown…Yes he is Like the Oak tree…Timeless …wise and always Blessing…A lesson for all the Industry folks…He is the King who is one with his subjects and so knows their Pulse and them…
Then comes a drop before another high…Jhalak guys you are crazy..Do you love Faisal’s financial so called disadvantage so much more that you keep on misusing it?? He sold a watch on OLX to gift his sister Rakshabandhan stuff?? Are you guys serious???Like how much did he get for a watch ?? in these times when watches are the most inexpensive and available at every turn of a shop…like who paid him what fortune to buy so many gifts?? Another question was like Do you at Jhalak not pay them ?? WHY did he have to resort to selling anything?? Just because he is a Kid and not in a position to Say No to you …would you like keep on at this Nonsense…let me tell you ..this deserved complete editing…or I do hope that OLX atleast paid my Kiddo and Jhalak did not gobble up those funds too…
Please Stop using his financial situation to advertise your wares…use a shampoo or a coffee or a soap or a tooth paste Do…he is most suitable for Chocolates I would say…sell a watch…I mean who sells a watch and gets ..what??? Passable….please avoid such senseless stunts..He is capable of a lot more…
As he proved in his Act…
In this case I would say the only ONE Who used the Group formula well and executed it to the international Perfection Level…The show is viewed Internationally and these two kids brought precision like none other…It was a Hit Blockbuster from the word Go…The colour combination of Yellow and blue was distinguished and established a Vision…A creative Vision that conceptualised every Micro Detail by MR VIVEK CHACHERE…and executed by all the members of the dance…The tapestry of form and shape they revealed was so amazing and breathtaking that Lauren echoed my sentiments that “ You are #Gift and a #DREAM”…and our fandom knows How many times I have repeated these words for Faisal. He is a Talented Gift to the world of Dance and in the right Hands ,he will blossom to Glory..another few words must be extended to Vaishnavi Patil…a Dancer Par excellence..a Pillar of support to Faisal…atleast IN jhalak Faisal would not have been able to do as much without she supporting him every Bit. She continues her work silently steadfastly and with no expectations for happy Praise.She is an Artist in the true sense that she works and lets her work speak for herself..no brags…no rants…no raving…simply “I do My Work and you make your choice” She is here to stay and set bench marks…I loved what you both did… without heavy discipline and command over the bodily movements and synchronisation and Healthy rapport with each other it would not be possible. It was a happy world out there created by these wonderful gifted Artists who unleashed a fluid Dance form for us…the way they glided from one form to another..the circle they made…the perfect shapes they created ..it was like watching a show of international Dance repute.Faisal proved my Epithet #Effortlessgrace which I bestowed in the beginning of the show…Accept my Kudos too Mr vivek Chachere…I may not be the Biggy wiggy of this Industry But I am the Audience that applauds you.YOU have done complete Justice to our #Masterpiece…and added to his Body of work this Genius Precision …It can be his show reel to anyone who asks “ Who he is?” He and we can proudly show the piece to anyone who doubts his credibility or Talent…Faisal khan and Vaishnavi Patil..To me you are My #Superstars…Untainted…pure…talented…hard working…our Guroor ..our Pride…Loads of love and love and love Kiddos…
Then comes the quick relay Race…Rapid fire Dance…levels are becoming difficult…we are enjoying it..all were lovely and apparently Shamita managed to score a full 10…the surprise on her face was Palpable…but all in all we enjoyed the rapid fire …bring it on…my eyes will adjust to the speed next episode…
And then comes time to Bid Adieu to KARANJOHAR….with Lauren sensitively leading the moment with ‘Lag jaa gale’ …
It is a sombre number and was a fitting tribute to our parting #Piedpiper…he was so tongue tied and my corners of the eyes stood wet…now some will say it was all scripted…it was all made up..but the moment they created on screen with all contestants teary eyed and Karan crying rivers…was so memorable…he says he has no family and so the people he meets and the folks he works with …do go on to become his family…It rings so true…simply because he is successful it would be a fallacy to assume that he does not cry,..or that he does not need human warmth..or that he does not feel sad…just because he is a filmy persona it would be cruel to all the time assume he is enacting something…he genuinely looked touched and I would so miss him…whoever replaces him..cannot bring his charm…maybe another brand of charm…but not Karan Johar brand of loveliness…
But the show must GO ON…and so it will and so next week we come back to costume Drama with Salman…a Talented choreographer promising his Presence and Flair…well…we are ready to be entertained…anyways what do we have to do on Weekend…???
